And Down Goes My Watering Hole....

Today I find myself down a killer watering hole.   Far West Billiards in downtown Spokane has closed it's doors.  10 years plus for a bar in Spokane, let alone anywhere, is a long ass run for anyone.

The Fly Fishing Degenerate Council spent many a night here discussing the merits of what ever rod we were lusting for, what beer we were drinking or trips we were planning on going on.  Yes, I have been a bit drunk here a few times as well.

For the past 3 years, it was our pre funk spot before every Fly Fishing Film Tour and the last 2 years it was the site of the very successful Hooks and Hops night for The Silver Bow Fly Shop.

Andrew and Yvonne of Far West were clients, but more they were friends.  You could not have chosen to work with two greater people for over 7 years.  

So goodbye Far West, so long and good luck to everyone who works there.  You will be missed

January 19th, come join the crew for Silver Bow Fly Shop's second annual Hooks and Hops Night here in Spokane.  Last year was a blast, and we're anticipating another great event

Why venture out on a Wednesday in ass cold January?  Here are my top 5 reasons

1.  The generous folks at the Bow are buying your first beer.  Mmmmm, beer.
